Dear friends,

A gala christening took place for the next "Buď fit s ČT" book in terms of the newly created Czech Television publishing house - Edice Čt - in the Patriot-x restaurant.

Among those who took part in the christening were the world aerobics champions Olga Šípková, Jana Havrdová, Vladimír Valouch and Václav Krejčík.

Among the VIP guests were Martina Vrbová, Iva Bednaříková and Petr Lésák (who appear in the ČT programme of the same name). The main host of the whole night was the popular anchorman, Aleš Cibulka.

A press conference was held on 25.5.2006 and an opening ceremony for the Patriot-x Czech gourmet centre. .

In the period of 7/10 July 2006, the 7th International Film and Television Festival of Documentary and Publicistic Programmes focused to the healthcare issues, took place under the title ´Crystal Heart, Poděbrady 2006´.

This year´s topics, diabetes mellitus, sound life-style and wholesome nutrition, formed a natural outcome of the festivals in the previous years.

The programmes submitted for the competition were evaluated by an interna-tional jury of experts headed by a film documentarist, Ms. Olga Sommerová.

In support of the Festival main idea, and particularly one of the competition category (wholesome nutrition), the 1st Cooking Competition ´Golden Salvia´ has been organised.

In this Competition, we took the second place and were therefore awarded with the ´Silver Salvia´.
