
The idea of opening a restaurant that would focus on Czech cuisine originated several years ago. At the time when our country is being flooded with commercially mass produced food products and culinary specialties from all over the world, Czech cuisine has little to offer to its admirers. This inspired us to innovate and preserve its traditional dishes in a form that is viable and has a modern touch. All we have to do is look around and let ourselves be inspired by the history of the exceptional Czech cuisine that is known for its diversity, variability and quality. And, although the roots of the local country-style cooking lie in simply prepared dishes, this cooking has always been the basis for the more complex Czech cuisine. A truly aristocratic cuisine supplied delicacies from the rich local sources to the tables of the nobility. The menu was made more interesting by adding imported spices, seafood or sweets and the local chefs, who truly loved their work, became recognized at home and around the world. In its time, Czech cuisine used to be as renowned as French cuisine. And, although its evolution came to a halt, we have still been able to satisfy our palates.
And as the name gives it away, this is where an opportunity opened for us – the patriots. We offer traditional Czech cuisine with a unique, interesting, healthy and lighter touch. Only the freshest ingredients and herbs, wine, cognac and even edible flowers are used in our recipes and never artificial flavor enhancing ingredients. The restaurant's name ‘Patriot-X' stands as a symbol for the preservation of traditional culinary values with X possibilities, that are used by a team of professionals who work hard to make sure that your time spent at one of our tables becomes a memorable one.
